The Israeli President has assigned Eisencot to form the government.

Israeli President Yitzhak Hertzog Saturday decided to appoint Gadi Eisenkot, the most powerful opponent of Prime Minister Benjamin Ntanyahu, to form a new Government, following elections, none of which had given clear access to power. Gadi Iizkot confirmed that he would do everything in his power to co-author a new Government in Israel, shortly after President Isaac Hertzog had announced his designation as Prime Minister.

Israel: Eisencot is leading the parliamentary recommendations to Netanyahu and Hertsog announces the Sunday of the Government.

Having received the recommendation of 67 Vice-Presidents in the Knesset, compared with 46 Prime Minister Benjamin Ntanyahu, former Israeli Chief of Staff Gadi Aisencott became closest to commissioning the next Government. President Isaac Hertzog is scheduled to announce his decision, Sunday, in the midst of complications regarding the positions of religious parties and the sessions of the two Arab lists supporting Iznkot, although his position on their reliance on them has not been resolved to form a government coalition.
